Introduction To Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine Collection

The ‘Limited Platinum Collection Collection’ launched by Vacheron Constantin in 2006 is now a member of the Patrimony Contemporaine series, which is also the 13th watch made of platinum in Vacheron Constantin’s product line. . It is also the third member of the ‘Limited Platinum Collection’, following the Patrimony Traditionnelle calibre 2253 and Patrimony Contemporainep pocket watches, with a limited edition of 150 pieces.
The simple and elegant Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine series has always used a 40 mm diameter case, but this limited model has a 42 mm diameter design. The larger size makes the watch lines more slender, and the dial is more stretched visually.

The new Patrimony Contemporaine self-winding watch features an elegant 950 platinum dial decorated with fine sandblasting, with the word PT950 engraved between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock. The bright curved outer ring is a minute scale circle and an 18K white gold hour scale. In addition to the case and crown made of 950 platinum, the hands are also made of this precious metal. For perfection, the watch also features a 950 platinum buckle and a dark blue crocodile leather strap hand-stitched with 950 platinum silk threads.
The watch is equipped with a 1120 ultra-thin self-winding mechanical movement with hour and minute display functions. Developed by Vacheron Constantin and bearing the prestigious imprint of Geneva. The thickness of the movement is 2.45mm and the diameter is about 28.4mm. It consists of 144 parts. It has 36 jewel bearings and a power reserve of 40 hours, with a vibration frequency of 19800vph. The watch is water resistant to 30m.

Vacheron Constantin’s use of platinum dates back to 1820. Since then, the brand has been using this precious metal to interpret its timepiece designs seeking creativity and sophistication. Unlike 18K gold, which has a purity of only 75%, platinum has a purity of 95%, and it is produced only in a few places such as South Africa. Platinum has a higher density and weight than other metals. In other words, its durability and eternity are self-evident, and it is also regarded as a symbol of eternity. In addition, it will not be oxidized, and it will not be affected over time, making it a perfect product worthy of a lifetime collection.
