As a brand rooted in nature and inspired by it, Japanese watchmaker GrandSeiko (Crown Blue Lion) launched the latest limited edition-Heritage Autumn Leaf SBGH269 watch.
Inspired by Japanese autumn leaves, the SBGH269’s distinctive dark red dial is extremely visually appealing. GrandSeiko said, ‘The dial reproduces the scenery of the mountains of Japan. As the season changes from summer to autumn, the leaves gradually dye dark red.’ The vertical pattern on the dial is reminiscent of lacquered wood floors in Japanese architecture. The seconds hand and the gold accents on the GS logo create an elegant contrast.
Another noteworthy feature is the titanium rotor, which is anodized to a bluish green, which is clearly visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The blue-green oscillating weight symbolizes the green leaves that have not been dyed crimson, combined with the crimson dial, showing the seasonal flow on the square inch wrist.
The stainless steel case has a diameter of 39.5 mm and is mirror polished (Zaratsu). Only the most skilled GrandSeiko craftsmen can master this skill. The dial design is simple and elegant, reflecting a unique Japanese style.
Equipped with Calibre9S85 movement, the movement frequency is up to 36,000 times / hour (5 Hz), the average daily error can be controlled within + 5 / -3 seconds, and it can provide 55 hours of power reserve.
It is reported that the GrandSeikoHeritage Autumn Leaf SBGH269 watch will be available in the autumn of 2019, with a limited edition of 900 pieces, with a list price of 700,000 yen, equivalent to about 47,000 yuan. (Photo / text watch home Xu Chaoyang)
